Towards a new Horizon

For over 13 years now, the Holy Trinity Parish has been serving the multitude of people surounding its Church in Barangay Pansol, Calamba, Laguna. The rather small church that could hardly accomodate large gatherings stands on a rented piece of property bounded by massive and modern edifices and facilities of several privately-owned resorts. Limited physical space, the Holy Trinity Parish has, nonetheless, survived to meet the spiritual and other needs of its parishioners.
The present condition of the church building.
In the year 1996, the Church was able to purchase an 800-square meter lot across its present location. On October 13, 1996, the ground-breaking ceremonies for the construction of the new Parish Church was held. But the rites proved to the signal for a greater and more difficult task. After spending some 130,000 thousands for billing materials alone to elevate the surface of the property, the church finds itself still lacking of sufficient funds to pursue its objectives. Presently, the church is in dire need of support from its parishioners and other golden-hearted folks. The only fund-raising project that has taken off is its "Pa-Raffle '97" para sa Bagong Simbahan" last July 6 and whose proceeds did not really suffice to finance the entire contruction. Fr. Jessie Somosierra, the present parish priest, has left no stone unturned as soon as he took over his assignment. Now, he is faced with the construction of this church. Yet he is confident that the Holy Spirit will be there to guide him in this task, with in full support of well-meaning and generous parishioner and benefactors.
